Graduate Assistant, Athletic Communications

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for assigned sports, including writing recaps, previews, and features
• Manage statistics and live scoring using NCAA LiveStats, PrestoStats, and PrestoRecordbook
• Support game day operations, including live stats and streaming workflows
• Create engaging graphics and video content for digital platforms
• Manage social media accounts (Instagram, X/Twitter, Facebook) and provide live coverage
• Maintain the athletics website via Sidearm Sports and publish new content
• Assist with the production of press releases, game notes, and award submissions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Acceptance into a Rivier University graduate program
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Gipper
• Experience with Sidearm Sports and NCAA LiveStats (Genius Sports)
• Availability to work nights and weekends as required by the athletic schedule
• Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Hudl and Production Truck software
• Experience with PrestoStats and PrestoRecordbook

Rivier University is located in Nashua, New Hampshire. The Athletics Department supports 13 NCAA Division III programs competing in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) and the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC).
