Graduate Area Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the Resident Advisor (RA) staff for Butz Hall and Curtis Hall
• Manage housing and facilities issues for up to 200 residents
• Assist with the selection, training, and coordination of RA programming
• Respond to and advocate for resident needs, including student conduct matters and conflict resolution
• Participate in the Housing & Residence Life on-call rotation, including nights and weekends
• Collaborate with Campus Police and Health Services to respond to on-campus incidents
• Manage social media needs for the Office of Housing & Residence Life
• Lead a significant project or function within the department based on professional interests

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an applicable field
• Current enrollment in an accredited Master's degree program
• Ability to work nights and weekends as part of an on-call rotation
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive campus vehicles
• Strong communication, customer service, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience and/or training in Housing & Residence Life
