Grades Class Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging main lessons aligned with Waldorf pedagogy and equity-conscious teaching practices
• Plan and deliver skills classes supporting literacy, math, and the arts
• Differentiate instruction to meet varied student needs in collaboration with support staff
• Collaborate with specialty teachers on curriculum integration and school festivals
• Direct and produce a class play as part of the curriculum
• Build professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Prior teaching experience
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to sit, stand, walk for extended periods, and use stairs regularly

Preferred Qualifications

• Waldorf teacher training
• Musical and artistic abilities
