Grades Class Teacher

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging main lessons aligned with Waldorf pedagogy and equity-conscious teaching practices
• Plan and deliver skills classes supporting foundational learning in literacy, math, and the arts
• Differentiate instruction to meet varied student needs in collaboration with support staff
• Collaborate with specialty teachers to support curriculum integration and school community life
• Direct and produce a class play as part of the curriculum
• Build strong, professional relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Prior teaching experience
• Waldorf teacher training preferred or willingness to complete training
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Musical and artistic abilities preferred
• Physical ability to sit, stand, walk, and use stairs regularly
