Government Relations Officer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and municipal departments
• Monitor and gather updates on laws, circulars, and government directives impacting property management and leasing
• Maintain a centralized Government Relations Register classifying updates by risk level and business impact
• Track developments from Dubai Land Department, RERA, DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, and SIRA
• Assess operational impact of regulatory developments on Leasing, Operations, and Finance departments
• Prepare impact assessment notes and provide actionable guidance to internal teams
• Escalate urgent regulatory changes to the Compliance Manager
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Business Administration, or related field
• Must be an Emirati national (Family Book required)
• 3–5 years of experience in government relations or regulatory compliance within real estate
• Strong knowledge of UAE property, utility, and municipal regulations
• Proven ability to build relationships with government authorities
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Proficiency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
