Government Relations Officer - Emiratisation

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and municipal departments to stay updated on UAE property and utility regulations.
• Monitor and gather firsthand updates on laws, circulars, and government directives impacting property management, leasing, and facilities operations.
• Maintain a centralized Government Relations Register, classifying updates by authority, risk level, and business impact.
• Track updates and developments from key authorities including Dubai Land Department, RERA, DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, SIRA, and Dubai Development Authority.
• Assess the operational impact of regulatory developments on departments such as Leasing, Operations, Property Management, Facilities Management, Sales, Brokerage, and Finance.
• Prepare impact assessment notes and provide actionable guidance to internal teams for timely compliance.
• Escalate urgent regulatory changes to the Compliance Manager and prepare executive summaries for leadership.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders to support strategic objectives and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Public Policy, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Must be an Emirati national accompanied by a Family Book.
• 3–5 years of experience in government relations, regulatory compliance, or a similar role within property management or real estate.
• Strong knowledge of UAE property, utility, and municipal regulations (DLD, RERA, DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence).
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with government authorities and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret regulations and assess operational impact.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is preferred.
• Highly organized and proactive with the ability to manage field-based government relations independently.
