Government Ops Lead

About the Company

Pilgrim develops and deploys advanced biotechnology for defense and national security. Our primary platform, ARGUS, is a fully autonomous system for detecting biological threats in near real time, from naturally occurring pathogens to engineered agents.

Responsibilities

• Map defense, intelligence, and federal health agencies to understand decision-makers, funding sources, and acquisition pathways
• Build account and capture strategies for priority government customers
• Drive business development from initial research through proposals, pilots, and contracts
• Create briefing decks, diagrams, and stakeholder maps using Figma or PowerPoint
• Track relevant programs, solicitations, budget activity, and policy priorities
• Translate customer mission requirements into recommendations for product and engineering teams
• Represent Pilgrim in government meetings, field visits, and demonstrations, including frequent travel to military installations
• Support sensitive or classified government programs with discretion and professionalism

Requirements

• Experience in combat casualty care, tactical medicine, or CBRN response
• Defense business development, acquisition strategy, or government contracting experience
• Track record of navigating DoD or IC landscapes to secure funding for emerging technologies
• Strong writing, research, and communication skills
• Ability to engage decision-makers and operate in high-stakes settings
• Highly autonomous with the ability to execute under pressure
