About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and provide access to government documents as a Federal Depository Library (FDLP)
- Process government documents, including binding, stamping, and labeling, in compliance with FDLP regulations
- Select and deselect federal documents according to FDLP guidelines
- Provide high-quality reference services, library instruction, and faculty liaison support
- Organize and shelve materials using the SuDoc Classification System
- Maintain accurate online system records and catalog access
- Supervise work-study students, including scheduling and preparing timesheets
- Monitor FDLP communications and stay current with professional developments in library science
- Participate in collection development and university committees
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies (MLIS) from an accredited institution
- Experience in reference services and library instruction
- Knowledge of the SuDoc Classification System
- Experience with both print and electronic resources
- Demonstrated supervisory ability
- Ability to work one evening per week and weekends on a rotating basis
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managing Federal Depository Library (FDLP) collections
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
