About the role

Responsibilities

  • Monitor relevant laws and regulations to support contract acquisition and compliant execution
  • Provide guidance and counsel to business leaders regarding FAR, DFARS, DEAR, and CFR
  • Conduct legal research on government contracting issues and prepare summaries and recommendations
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to create and implement ethical compliance policies and procedures in the U.S.
  • Manage outside counsel, including defining scopes, negotiating rates, and tracking performance
  • Prepare reports for stakeholders and senior leadership regarding contract obligations and performance milestones

Requirements

  • J.D. Degree from an accredited law school and membership in good standing with a U.S. Bar
  • 5-7 years of government contracts experience (federal government, large law firm, or in-house at a construction/defense contractor)
  • Deep knowledge of FAR, DFARS, DEAR, and CFR
  • Experience with ITAR, EAR, FCPA, and cybersecurity regulations
  • Experience in proposal development, negotiations, and dispute resolution within the construction industry
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with government agency personnel (DCAA, DCMA, DoE, DoW)
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with Sole Source Proposals and the Truthful Cost or Pricing Data Act (TINA)
  • Willingness to travel within the United States
