Government Contracts and Commercial Senior Counsel

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of US Government contract negotiations, administration, and customer contract activities
• Ensure fulfillment of contract requirements and manage contract changes
• Review and advise on US Government Terms & Conditions, including OTAs, FAR, DFARS, cybersecurity, and data privacy
• Build, implement, and manage compliance programs for federal procurement regulations
• Provide guidance on government contract interpretation and risk mitigation strategies
• Support proposal preparation and compliance for government solicitations
• Manage relationships with government contracting officers and procurement officials
• Support broader legal functions including commercial contracts, vendor agreements, and NDAs

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school with active bar membership
• 8+ years of experience in government contracts law
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or hardware technology sectors preferred
• Deep knowledge of federal procurement processes (FAR, DFARS, OTAs, SBIR/STTR)
• Experience building and managing practical compliance programs
• Experience negotiating commercial agreements like software licensing and vendor contracts
• Ability to communicate complex contractual information to various stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with NASA, DoD, or other aerospace-related agency contracts
• Familiarity with technically complex systems
