About the Company

Antares is on a mission to make clean energy abundant from Earth to the Asteroid Belt. We are building mass-producible, inherently safe, deployable microreactors for terrestrial, underwater, and space applications. Our team includes veterans from SpaceX, the White House, MIT, and various National Laboratories.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a prioritized engagement plan for federal agencies and Congress
• Identify key federal stakeholders and objectives for engagement
• Draft requests for authorities for inclusion in the NDAA, NASA authorization acts, and energy legislation
• Monitor and report on Congressional hearings, think tank events, and new legislation
• Analyze the impact of federal events on the company's engagement strategy
• Coordinate travel and meeting opportunities for leadership with Pentagon, NASA, and DoE officials
• Partner with the Head of Federal Strategy and Policy to optimize CEO engagement in Washington, DC

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of public policy experience in Washington, DC
• Experience within the Pentagon, NASA, DoE, or DHS
• Ability to work long hours and weekends as necessary
• Ability to travel to regulatory locations as needed
• Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Experience developing and executing influence plans for federal stakeholders
• Strong writing skills using Smart Brevity principles
• Ability to explain complex science, technology, and defense concepts clearly
• Familiarity with the U.S. military, nuclear energy, space, and the venture-backed startup ecosystem
• Ability to obtain a Q or Top Secret clearance
