Responsibilities

  • Support high-visibility engagements with congressional leaders, federal stakeholders, and state and local officials
  • Assist in planning, staffing, and follow-up for engagements with members of Congress and federal agency officials
  • Monitor and synthesize developments in AI legislation, data privacy regulation, and technology governance
  • Produce clear, actionable briefs for internal stakeholders and executives
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with state and local leaders regarding data modernization and AI adoption
  • Help plan and staff Snowflake's presence at political and policy events and industry convenings

Requirements

  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited university or graduate program
  • Rising senior or first-year master's student preferred
  • Major in Public Policy, Political Science, Government, International Relations, Law, Business, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
  • Completed coursework in public policy, government/politics, or technology policy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize complex technology and policy topics into clear narratives
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship experience on Capitol Hill, in a federal agency, political campaign, or think tank
  • Familiarity with AI/data policy issues
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in an academic or professional context
  • Knowledge of regulatory affairs, data privacy, or AI ethics
