About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist Government Affairs Specialists and other policy professionals with daily tasks
- Monitor press and Capitol Hill publications for topics and issues of interest to clients
- Conduct research and assist with projects involving legislation, policy, and politics
- Create charts and compile briefing books for attorneys and clients
- Deliver and retrieve documents from Capitol Hill for the firm and its clients
- Attend Congressional hearings as required
Requirements
- Must be a current college student
- Demonstrated interest in federal legislation, policy, and politics
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Highly motivated and proactive approach to work
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Proficiency with internet and electronic information sources
