Government Affairs Associate

Responsibilities

• Drive executive and legislative strategies by tracking policy developments in autonomy, defense technology, and physical AI
• Build and maintain relationships with Members of Congress and staff on relevant Appropriations and Authorization Committees
• Shape federal legislative priorities, policy positions, and political engagement strategies
• Draft legislative language, policy memoranda, briefing materials, presentations, and position papers
• Support and manage the company’s political action committee (PAC) with high attention to detail
• Partner with cross-functional leaders and external consultants to advance shared industry priorities

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience on Capitol Hill or in the executive branch, focusing on policy, legislative analysis, or advocacy
• Strong familiarity with the federal legislative process, including Appropriations and Authorization
• Knowledge of autonomy, emerging technologies, and defense technology policy
• Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• A results-driven mentality with a demonstrated track record of execution and follow-through

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Congressional engagement, advocacy, or political strategy
• Experience with PAC management, political campaigns, or fundraising
• Graduate degree focused on the legislative process, technology, or defense
• Technical background related to autonomy or artificial intelligence
• Active Security Clearance
