Governance Research Analyst

Responsibilities

• Analyze corporate governance and financial information to write research reports on publicly traded companies in India
• Provide proxy vote recommendations and incorporate analytical frameworks and policy guidelines
• Participate in engagement meetings with company secretaries, investor relations teams, and institutional investors
• Develop market overviews and research notes regarding emerging governance trends and regulatory changes
• Contribute to seasonal reviews, client webinars, and presentations regarding governance data and statistical information
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of data analysis and reporting

Requirements

• 1 to 5 years of capital market experience, preferably in Proxy Advisory or the Asset Management industry
• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or International Relations
• Bachelor's degree in Law, Chartered Accountancy (CA), or Company Secretary (CS)
• Strong knowledge of the Companies Act and SEBI (Listing Regulations)
• Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple objectives and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, CFA, or equivalent professional qualifications
• Familiarity with regulatory filings and disclosure formats for listed stocks
• Experience analyzing general proxy voting or corporate responsibility issues
