Governance Controls and Testing Manager

Responsibilities

• Design and implement testing frameworks for controls to support risk management and compliance operational effectiveness
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of existing controls to ensure effectiveness and compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams to manage governance framework elements including global risk appetite, control inventory, and emerging risks
• Prepare detailed reports on governance performance and present findings to senior management
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in governance controls

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in governance, risk management, compliance, or audit roles within financial services
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in governance and controls
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and lead initiatives to improve governance frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree or professional certifications such as CPA or CISA
• Prior experience in the cryptocurrency market
