About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide final signatory approval for above-brand materials and activities related to promotion, healthcare professional interactions, and corporate affairs
  • Chair cross-functional governance committees to review novel and complex activities, ensuring pragmatic and compliant delivery
  • Implement local governance and decision-making frameworks to ensure ethical execution across the enterprise
  • Anticipate emerging risks and design practical mitigation measures to maintain organizational compliance
  • Lead the establishment of local processes and approval streams to streamline ways of working
  • Develop and deliver regular training and coaching to raise compliance competencies across the business
  • Create and maintain local SOPs, checklists, and guidance documents to reflect current legislation and internal standards
  • Collaborate with Medical, Brand Managers, Market Access, and Corporate Affairs to align activities with business strategies

Requirements

  • Degree in medicine, pharmacy, pharmacology, or other relevant life sciences
  • Expert knowledge of relevant legislation and external codes of practice governing promotional activities
  • Proven experience in medical affairs and/or signatory activities
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and solution-oriented approach
  • Ability to make decisive, evidence-based decisions in ambiguous situations
  • High ethical standards and the ability to discuss regulatory issues with authority
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills to work effectively across diverse teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management experience
  • Proven expertise in delivering professional training programs
  • Practical experience working with digital and omni-channel projects
  • Knowledge of AstraZeneca therapy areas
