Google Cloud Solution Architect - GCP

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy robust Google Cloud Platform (GCP) solutions, acting as both a strategist and a hands-on builder.
• Lead complex cloud and on-premises migrations using Rehost, Replatform, and Refactor strategies.
• Champion automation and reliability by implementing DevOps, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) principles.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, translating business challenges into technical architectures and clear narratives for stakeholders.
• Mentor team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years focused on architecting and implementing GCP solutions.
• Proven expertise in leading end-to-end cloud migrations from on-premises (e.g., VMware) or other cloud providers.
• Deep technical knowledge of GCP services including Compute, Serverless, Kubernetes, Cloud Run, Networking, and Data Services.
• Proficiency in at least two of the following: Python, Go (Golang), or Bash.
• Strong experience with Terraform, GitOps, and cloud security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence decision-makers and present complex concepts to non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Cloud Architect certification and at least one additional specialty certification (Data, ML, DevOps, or Security).
• Experience with modern AI/ML pipelines such as Vertex AI and BigQuery.
• Familiarity with emerging Agentic orchestration frameworks.
• Background in specific industry verticals such as finance, healthcare, or telecommunications.
• Project management experience or certifications (AgilePM, Prince2, PMP).
