Google Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage GCP resources including Compute Engine and Cloud Storage
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or Google Deployment Manager
• Oversee VPC networking and shared services configuration
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes
• Monitor and optimize GCP performance, resource utilization, and cost management
• Implement robust security practices and ensure industry compliance
• Integrate GCP services with existing systems via APIs and cloud functions
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline workflows
• Prepare architecture documentation and operational procedures
• Provide technical support to resolve GCP environment issues

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or architecture specifically with GCP
• Deep understanding of App Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and Kubernetes Engine
• Proficiency in Python, Golang, or Java
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with cloud networking and security practices
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud certifications (Professional Cloud Architect or DevOps Engineer)
• Experience with Google Cloud Build or Jenkins
• Knowledge of Stackdriver or Prometheus
• Understanding of DevOps methodologies
