Google Cloud Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using Google Cloud Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and other GCP data services
• Implement data lakes and data warehouses using Google BigQuery
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements
• Monitor and evaluate data pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues
• Ensure data quality through validation routines and data profiling
• Document data architecture, ETL processes, and operational procedures
• Participate in defining and enhancing data governance and management practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering with a focus on GCP
• Proficiency in Google Cloud Dataflow and BigQuery
• Strong SQL skills and experience in data modeling and warehousing
• Familiarity with Python or Java for data processing
• Ability to work with structured and unstructured data sources
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification
• Experience with real-time data processing using Apache Beam and Pub/Sub
• Understanding of CI/CD practices in data engineering workflows
• Knowledge of data visualization tools
