Goods-In Specialist

Responsibilities

• Verify all incoming shipments against inspection plans, purchase orders, and supplier documentation
• Perform quality checks on raw materials, packaging, and ingredients to ensure they meet food safety and allergen specifications
• Sample and test materials following facility procedures, including sensory and temperature checks
• Identify, quarantine, and document non-conforming materials and coordinate returns with suppliers
• Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure proper unloading, staging, and storage conditions (cold chain, FIFO, and allergen segregation)
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspection results in quality systems
• Support internal audits, supplier inspections, and GMP compliance

Requirements

• 1+ year of experience in food manufacturing, warehouse receiving, or quality control
• Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, allergen control, and basic food safety principles
• Ability to interpret CoAs, specifications, inspection plans, and purchase orders
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Ability to work in cold storage environments (freezer/cooler) as needed
• Basic computer skills for data entry and quality systems
