Golf Course Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomic operations
• Develop and execute annual maintenance plans, budgets, and capital improvement initiatives
• Manage daily operations including irrigation, fertilization, chemical applications, and pest control
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations
• Lead and develop the grounds team, including hiring, training, and performance management
• Oversee maintenance of all equipment and coordinate with vendors
• Collaborate with hotel leadership to support guest experience and golf operations

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in golf course maintenance
• Experience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
• Strong knowledge of turf management, agronomy, irrigation systems, and chemical applications
• Proven ability to manage budgets, labor, and operational costs
• Valid Driver’s License
• Pesticide Applicator License or ability to obtain

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or certification in Agronomy, Turf Management, or Horticulture
• Experience in a hospitality or resort environment
• Knowledge of Mid-Atlantic climate and turf conditions
