About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide targeted, small-group instruction in Math and English Language Arts (ELA)
- Prepare for lessons using provided materials
- Serve as a mentor to students, supporting social and emotional development
- Build authentic and healthy relationships with students to foster confidence
Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree or current enrollment in an accredited college or university program
- US Citizenship or legal Permanent Residency status
- Must have served no more than three previous AmeriCorps service terms
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to travel to a GO partner school up to 5 days per week
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working or volunteering with children
- Strong relationship building and communication skills
- Ability to implement feedback and a commitment to lifelong learning
Benefits
- AmeriCorps living allowance (approximately $24,000 for the full service year)
