Basic Capital is a fintech company disrupting America’s $1T retirement industry by building the mortgage for retirement, unlocking market ownership, and making wealth accessible to every American. Our founding team includes leaders from Goldman Sachs, Uber, Block, and Robinhood.
Responsibilities
- Build and run the end-to-end consumer product strategy
- Define the consumer operating model, including target audience and winning strategies
- Drive consumer outcomes such as adoption, engagement, retention, and unit economics
- Create the Consumer Brand to make Basic Capital the go-to brand for modern retirement investing
- Set the tone for consumer UX to ensure it is simple, powerful, and trusted
- Develop distribution and growth strategies, including onboarding, activation, and education
- Create scalable systems for lifecycle, engagement, referrals, and conversion
Requirements
- Experience owning and shipping consumer products end-to-end
- Strong product strategy and execution ability from discovery to iteration
- Excellent cross-functional leadership across design, engineering, operations, and marketing
- Ability to operate with high agency in a fast-moving environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Fintech, investing, or consumer finance experience
- Experience building consumer brands or consumer growth loops
- Familiarity with retirement, brokerage, credit, lending, or structured financial products
- Proven track record of building products that are complex but highly loved
