Global Trade Compliance – Tariff Classification Sr. Analyst

Responsibilities

• Assign import and export classifications per the Harmonized Tariff Schedule for relevant global markets.
• Support the implementation of new technologies, such as Agentic AI, to improve classification and audit efficiency.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to gather data and drive informed tariff decisions.
• Document classification logic and manage technical evidence to ensure documentation excellence.
• Prepare and review classification requests for government submissions to ensure accuracy.
• Proactively monitor and update classifications to reflect evolving global tariffs and regulations.
• Identify potential compliance risks and develop solutions to safeguard global operations.
• Support the determination of duty preferences under Free Trade Agreements and Special Trade Programs.
• Track and communicate regulatory and legislative updates to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in international trade, supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a broker agency, multinational company, or consulting firm.
• Extensive experience with harmonized tariff codes, specifically focusing on the US and EU.
• Ability to interpret chemical and clinical terminology.
• Strong analytical, research, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple time-sensitive tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
