About the role
Responsibilities
- Determine tariff classifications for imported and exported goods and perform periodic reviews
- Communicate with vendors on Customs related matters to ensure compliance
- Qualify US Free Trade Agreements and advise the organization of changes
- Perform post entry audits of Customs entries including root cause and corrective actions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Compliance Procedures
- Ensure timely filing of post-entry reconciliation including voluntary tenders and protests
- Provide import, export controls, and supply chain security guidance to internal customers
- Perform Restricted Party & Diversion Risk Screening
- Review product documentation for correct Country of Origin designations
- Manage global Customs Brokers, including SOP/KPI development and QBR maintenance
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years customs experience in a large customs department or brokerage house
- Experience in Supply Chain and/or Logistics
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, ERP, GTS, TMS, and MRP software
- Demonstrated attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Customs Broker License is a plus
