Neuralink is creating devices that enable a bi-directional interface with the brain to restore movement to the paralyzed, restore sight to the blind, and revolutionize human-digital interaction.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end sourcing strategy for a diverse portfolio of mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, and biocompatible commodities.
- Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to build a resilient, global supplier base.
- Negotiate contracts, MSAs, SOWs, and IP terms in partnership with Legal and Finance.
- Build should-cost models and lead year-over-year cost reduction initiatives.
- Manage supplier performance against quality, delivery, and cost scorecards.
- Align supplier capacity with clinical-build and commercial-ramp forecasts.
- Drive supply-risk management, including sub-tier dependency mapping and mitigation planning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline (Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, etc.).
- Proven track record as a generalist moving across at least two distinct technical commodities.
- Experience in hardware manufacturing, medical devices, aerospace, automotive, or robotics.
- Hands-on experience running full RFI/RFQ/RFP cycles.
- Demonstrated commercial negotiation experience (piece-price, tooling, NRE, IP terms).
- Strong analytical skills for should-cost and total-cost-of-ownership modeling.
- Familiarity with supplier-quality toolkits (PPAP, APQP, FMEA) and QMS frameworks (ISO 13485, ISO 9001).
- Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and BOMs.
- Proficiency in ERP/procurement systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Willingness to travel 25–50% to supplier sites.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or MS in Supply Chain/Operations.
- Sourcing experience in a regulated medical-device environment (ISO 13485/21 CFR Part 820).
- Experience scaling complex hardware from clinical builds to commercial volume.
- Experience negotiating with international suppliers (APAC, EU, MX).
- Lean/Six Sigma certification or CPSM/CSCP.
- Familiarity with U.S. export-control regimes (ITAR, EAR).
