Global Supply Manager - Lighting

Responsibilities

• Support Engineering to identify suppliers available for sourcing
• Issue RFQs to multiple suppliers for multiple commodities
• Review, analyze and clarify quote packages from suppliers
• Support and lead strategic sourcing approval processes
• Manage Purchase Order approval and issuing processes
• Identify and negotiate commercial cost reduction opportunities
• Negotiate cost changes related to product design changes
• Work with Suppliers, Engineering and Material Planning to release parts into production
• Work with SQA to identify qualified suppliers and drive continuous quality improvement
• Develop parts sourcing strategies and sourcing efficiencies
• Work on Lean initiatives and identify sourcing efficiencies via benchmarking, VA/VE, and competitive quotes
• Maintain day-to-day supplier relationships as the point of contact for commercial issues
• Respond to supply shortages outside of Material Planning control

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in supply management
• Background in Automotive, Electronics, or Interior & Exterior Lighting Suppliers
• Knowledge of automotive lighting or electronics
• Strong negotiation skills
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
• MBA preferred
