Global Supply Manager, Interconnects

Etched is building hardware for frontier intelligence. We co-design chips, racks, software, and manufacturing to deliver best-in-class throughput and latency across both prefill and decode workloads. Our first products are heavily focused on inference.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for high-speed interconnects, including copper and optical cables, connectors, and backplane systems
• Build and manage relationships with interconnect, cable assembly, and connector suppliers globally
• Negotiate pricing, capacity, tooling, and long-term supply agreements
• Partner with Electrical and Systems Engineering on connector selection and signal integrity considerations
• Drive cost modeling, benchmarking, and should-cost analysis for interconnect components
• Identify and mitigate supply risks related to lead times and single sourcing
• Align sourcing strategies with NPI builds and high-volume production ramps
• Support EVT/DVT/PVT builds and production readiness

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in sourcing or commodity management for interconnects or high-speed data infrastructure
• Strong understanding of high-speed interconnect technologies (copper/optical) and signal integrity
• Proven track record managing complex supplier relationships and high-value negotiations
• Strong analytical skills in cost modeling and BOM evaluation
• Experience supporting NPI builds and scaling for high-volume production
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain
• Experience with datacenter interconnects, optical modules, or rack-to-rack connectivity
• Familiarity with PCIe, Ethernet, or InfiniBand standards
• Understanding of impedance control and high-frequency design constraints
• Experience managing suppliers across Asia
• Background in high-growth hardware startup environments
