Global Sourcing Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage global sourcing activities for Petco’s owned-brand products to drive category growth and profitability.
• Initiate and facilitate competitive bids, RFQs, negotiations, and resourcing activities.
• Develop financial models and reports to monitor profitability and mitigate financial risk.
• Partner with inventory, merchandising, and planning teams to align business needs with vendor capacity.
• Evaluate vendor performance using qualitative and quantitative data to optimize the vendor matrix.
• Manage the vetting and onboarding of new vendors, including contract negotiations and production oversight.
• Collaborate with logistics providers to optimize freight costs and research macroeconomic trends.
• Drive sustainability initiatives within the supply chain, manufacturing practices, and packaging.
• Travel domestically and internationally to evaluate production sites and attend industry trade shows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• 3 years of progressive experience in global sourcing or related roles.
• Strong analytical skills and a high sense of urgency.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
