Global Sourcing Category Manager - Plastic Extrusions

Responsibilities

• Manage global sourcing strategies for assigned categories to ensure alignment with business objectives and global goals
• Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and commodity trends to identify opportunities for competitive advantage
• Evaluate and manage supplier risks while developing contingency plans to ensure security of supply
• Collaborate with Master Scheduling, Planning, Manufacturing, and Distribution teams to meet customer expectations
• Monitor supplier performance by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide actionable insights to leadership regarding strategic sourcing initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
• 2-5 years of experience in a supply chain related field
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing complex supplier contracts
• Proven ability to scope and create projects to reduce cost, improve productivity, and reduce supplier risk
• Collaborative approach to communication and problem-solving

• Experience sourcing plastic extrusions for building materials
