About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage Mechanical Integrity programs for piping systems and static equipment (pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, etc.)
- Lead and fulfill TSSA and CSA B51 regulatory requirements, including compliance for pressure piping repairs
- Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) for major equipment failures and manage the closure of improvement actions
- Support the Maintenance team with repair planning for critical equipment and participate in site OEE programs
- Review technical documentation including welding procedures, NDT reports, and piping specifications
- Perform equipment criticality analysis and define failure mitigation or reliability improvement plans
- Support shutdown planning and execution to ensure critical reliability tasks are completed
Requirements
- Mechanical Engineer degree
- 4+ years of experience in a chemical plant or similar industrial environment
- Knowledge of API 570 and other relevant mechanical integrity standards
- Experience with CSA B51 and TSSA requirements
- Experience using CMMS (preferably SAP PM) and reliability information systems
- Ability to travel up to 25%, including travel to the United States
- Valid passport or ability to obtain one
Preferred Qualifications
- P.Eng designation or actively pursuing professional licensure
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience managing and directing capital projects
