About the role
Responsibilities
- Assess whether laboratories follow quality control procedures and industry standards, including ISO 17025.
- Conduct laboratory assessments onsite or remotely through desktop and video audits.
- Examine laboratory standards, procedures, test methods, and equipment for conformance to requirements.
- Identify and document issues regarding documentation, data quality, and performance.
- Prepare detailed assessment reports including compliance status and recommendations for system enhancement.
- Lead assessment preparation, progress, and close-out meetings with staff and management.
- Provide technical consulting and quality assurance support to laboratories and business units.
- Coordinate with auditing teams to ensure effective communication between management and auditors.
Requirements
- BE in Chemical, Polymer, or Oil & Gas, or an MSc degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of auditing experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience.
- Strong knowledge of product quality assurance systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 17025, or IATF.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel internationally (approximately 50% travel requirement).
- Fluency in written and oral English.
- Experience with auditing tools, control charts, and statistical methods.
- Ability to obtain HUET (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASQ (American Society for Quality) certifications.
- Experience in the Oil and Chemical industry laboratory or manufacturing environments.
