Global Purchasing Executive

Responsibilities

• Plan and issue purchase orders to suppliers to ensure on-time direct shipments
• Calibrate and distribute global forecasts to suppliers and monitor delivery performance
• Drive supplier improvement actions for non-performing vendors
• Work with suppliers to improve lead times and flexibility to support demand surges
• Review and action slow-moving and excess inventory to optimize stock levels
• Evaluate and determine optimal shipment modes to minimize logistics costs
• Coordinate global contracts, agreements, and terms and conditions for purchases
• Maintain purchasing parameter integrity, including pricing, lead times, and order policies
• Implement and maintain Advance Deviation Requests and Supplier Corrective Actions
• Collaborate with global teams to set up new suppliers and maintain the supplier database
• Build and submit procurement reports regarding delivery performance, cost savings, and inventory
• Ensure all purchases align with trade import/export and internal control policies
• Support Commodity Managers with implementing commodity plans and reverse auctions

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Purchasing, Procurement, or Supply Chain
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing methodology and supply chain management
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to take decisive action in evolving and unexpected situations

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field
• Experience or qualification in Six Sigma and Lean tools
