Global Payroll Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for exempt and hourly employees across the U.S., Australia, Canada, and the UK
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll execution, including compensation changes, deductions, benefits, and tax elections
• Maintain compliance with wage and hour regulations, payroll tax registration, and legal filing requirements
• Drive payroll controls and documentation, serving as the owner for compliance and SOX-ready controls
• Perform pre- and post-payroll audits, reconciliations, and variance analysis to resolve discrepancies
• Manage incentive and equity payroll processing, including ISOs and NQSOs, ensuring accurate withholding and reporting
• Partner with Accounting to support month-end close, including journal entries and payroll accruals
• Collaborate with People, Finance, and Legal teams to improve workflows and maintain data integrity
• Leverage AI and automation to streamline payroll processes and reduce manual effort

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including ownership of U.S. payroll in a high-growth tech company
• Deep knowledge of U.S. payroll, wage and hour compliance, and multi-state employment tax regulations
• Experience with global payroll (AU, UK, CA) and managing payroll through Employer of Record (EOR) partners
• Experience administering equity and incentive payroll (RSUs, ISOs, NQSOs)
• Hands-on experience with modern HRIS and payroll systems, specifically Workday or ADP
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reconciliations, and reporting
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
