Global Operations Associate

Responsibilities

• Coordinate multimodal operations and end-to-end shipment movements within a regional network to ensure high-quality service and timely delivery.
• Act as the first line of defense to ensure shipments move on time and exceptions are handled appropriately.
• Support the team with medium to high-importance escalations, complex movements, and delicate communications.
• Assist management in supervising team performance regarding data quality, shipment milestones, and adherence to internal KPIs and SLAs.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contribute to the creation of scalable operational infrastructures.
• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external escalations to resolve customer issues quickly.
• Coordinate daily logistics with partners including shipping lines, intermodal providers, customs, and warehousing.

Requirements

• BTS GTLA (Gestion des transports et logistique associée) or a BA/BS in logistics, supply chain, or commerce.
• 1-2 years of experience in international freight forwarding, logistics, or ocean freight operations in France.
• Proficiency in English and French.
• Knowledge of port/terminal software such as CargoWise, SOGET (Ci5), or MGI (AP+).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage a high volume of tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to relocate to Amsterdam for the first 4-6 months for training, followed by permanent relocation to Paris.
