About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide regional governance and oversight for global mobility activities across the Americas, with a primary focus on the US and Canada.
- Ensure consistent and compliant application of global mobility policies in alignment with Ericsson’s global standards.
- Serve as the regional escalation point for complex, high-risk, or non-standard mobility cases.
- Oversee mobility-related compliance and risk management, including tax, immigration, employment law, and social security.
- Act as a trusted advisor to HR, People leaders, and senior business stakeholders.
- Monitor regulatory and market developments across the Americas to recommend proactive policy adjustments.
- Support the design and continuous improvement of global mobility frameworks, tools, and processes.
- Champion the use of data, analytics, and AI to enhance the effectiveness and scalability of mobility programs.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Global Mobility-focused role, preferably within a large multinational organization.
- Deep subject matter expertise in international assignments, permanent transfers, business travel, and hybrid mobility patterns.
- Solid working knowledge of tax, immigration, social security, and employment considerations for cross-border moves in the US and Canada.
- Proven ability to assess risk and provide pragmatic recommendations that balance compliance with business needs.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-specialist audiences.
- Experience applying technology, data analytics, and AI to streamline mobility processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with global mobility technology platforms and AI-enabled tools.
- Experience working within a global, matrixed organizational structure.
