Global Logistics Lead

About the Company

Northwood is a modern space infrastructure company bringing the benefits of space to the masses through advanced communications technology. We are building a global network of phased array ground stations that enable real-time, reliable communication for satellite missions such as national security, global connectivity, and disaster response.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end logistics, including carrier selection, booking, and proactive tracking for domestic and international shipments
• Manage export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, HTS classifications, and customs paperwork
• Mitigate transit risks by identifying and resolving delays, holds, or damages
• Build and scale Northwood’s logistics function by developing SOPs, carrier networks, and documentation standards
• Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Site Operations teams

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience managing domestic and international logistics in a manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience coordinating LTL, FTL, air, ocean, and ground shipments
• Working knowledge of shipping/customs documentation and Incoterms
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs unassisted
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience tracking freight spend and identifying cost-reduction opportunities
• Prior experience in fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environments
• Experience building logistics processes or SOPs in a growing organization
• Experience in aerospace, electronics, or high-precision manufacturing fields
