About the role
Responsibilities
- Define and own the Medical Intelligence roadmap, shifting Medical Affairs from retrospective reporting to predictive strategy.
- Build and lead a Data Strategy framework connecting clinical evidence, real-world data, and digital health streams into an actionable intelligence layer.
- Champion predictive analytics platforms and oversee the design, testing, and integration of AI/ML use cases into Medical Affairs workflows.
- Own the Medical Care Gaps identification framework to drive prioritization across GBU Medical strategies and evidence generation plans.
- Act as an innovation incubator by scouting emerging data science capabilities and designing proof-of-concept initiatives.
- Partner with Global Business Units (GBUs) and Digital teams to translate complex data science outputs into actionable strategic narratives.
- Ensure all data strategies and predictive models comply with healthcare regulations, data privacy standards, and ethical AI principles.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs, Data Strategy, Real-World Evidence, or Healthcare Analytics within a pharmaceutical organization.
- Advanced scientific, medical, or quantitative degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or Master's in Data Science, Biostatistics, or Health Informatics).
- Demonstrated experience with AI/ML applications in healthcare, including predictive analytics or natural language processing (NLP).
- Proven track record of leading data strategy or medical intelligence programs in global, matrixed environments.
- Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical data ecosystem, including RWE, claims data, and EHR integration.
- Strong ability to communicate complex analytical concepts to non-technical medical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Medical Information Systems and pharmaceutical data platforms.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment on data strategy without direct authority.
