Global Lead Buyer – Woven/Knitted Fabrics & Glass Cords

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global material and supplier strategies for woven/knitted fabrics and glass cords
• Lead cost optimization negotiations and design state-of-the-art negotiation concepts
• Negotiate and conclude legally binding supplier contracts to fulfill all business requirements
• Conduct market analysis and scan for new suppliers to ensure competitive advantage
• Manage global/BA-specific ad-hoc projects related to reinforcement components
• Drive cost-out, shortage, and crisis management initiatives
• Ensure timely and accurate implementation of purchasing data in relevant IT systems
• Support material price planning, forecasting, and long-term supply security for production facilities

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Contitech purchasing processes and professional negotiation skills
• Solid commercial background including expertise in contract law
• In-depth technical understanding of reinforcement components
• Proficiency in SAP, Supply ON, and Microsoft Office
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving capabilities
• Proficiency in cross-cultural communication and presentation techniques
• Good command of supply chain procedures and regional market conditions
