Global Investment Banking - DCM - Analyst/Associate

Responsibilities

• Assist with the origination and execution of debt capital markets transactions for Japanese corporates, financial institutions, and SSA clients
• Support client pitching and negotiation by preparing marketing materials, market updates, pricing information, and case studies
• Arrange Investor Relation activities for clients
• Develop trade ideas and recommendations, including analysis of debt market funding options and execution considerations
• Build and maintain relationships with clients at junior levels
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including sector investment bankers, global debt syndicates, lawyers, and compliance teams

Requirements

• Fluency in both Japanese and English with impeccable communication skills
• Strong research skills and the ability to connect market intelligence to a big-picture view
• High level of attention to detail
• Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize competing requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work experience in debt capital markets or the financial industry (especially for Associate roles)
• A well-rounded academic background from a top-tier educational institution
• Proficiency with Bloomberg terminals
