Global Investment Banking - DCM - Analyst/Associate

Responsibilities

• Assist with the origination and execution of debt capital markets transactions for Japanese corporates, financial institutions, and sovereign entities.
• Support client pitching and negotiation by preparing marketing materials, including market updates, pricing information, and case studies.
• Arrange Investor Relation activity for clients and develop trade ideas and recommendations based on debt market funding analysis.
• Interact and build relationships with clients at junior levels.
• Liaise with internal and external parties, including sector investment bankers, global debt syndicates, lawyers, and compliance.

Requirements

• Fluency in both Japanese and English with impeccable communication skills.
• Strong research skills and the ability to connect market intelligence to a big-picture view.
• High level of attention to detail and strong project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work experience in debt capital markets or the financial services industry.
• A well-rounded academic background from a top-tier educational institution.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg terminals.
• Confident and articulate verbal and written communication skills.
