About the role

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute SDS and related projects in coordination with business teams and stakeholders
  • Assemble information and publish Safety Data Sheets (SDS) within established processes
  • Assign exposure scenarios and risk management measures for EU-REACH extended SDS development
  • Interpret Hazard Communication regulations to determine impacts on product classification and labelling
  • Support business partners in assessing new or reformulated products for classification and labelling
  • Evaluate new chemical classifications and maintain accurate data for SDS development
  • Support Product Stewardship Information Management System functions and interfaces
  • Utilize software tools to classify product hazards based on composition and physical/chemical properties
  • Support EU REACH product safety dossier development and submission using tools like IUCLID
  • Identify and promote continuous improvement opportunities in systems and procedures

Requirements

  • BE / B Tech in Chemical, Materials, Polymers, or Petroleum engineering
  • Masters in Pharmacology, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related science discipline
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in petrochemical laboratories, product stewardship, toxicology, or chemical safety
  • Proven experience in SDS Authoring
  • In-depth knowledge of REACH Regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of physical and chemical properties such as density, viscosity, and flash point
  • Familiarity with regulations for Chemical Classification, Labelling, and Product Transportation
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with IT systems and Product Stewardship data management
