About the Company
Lynk is the inventor of satellite direct to standard phone technology aka sat2phone and has the world’s only commercial license from the FCC to operate a commercial sat2phone system. Lynk allows mobile network operators' subscribers to send and receive text messages to and from space via standard unmodified, mobile devices.
Responsibilities
- Drive ground station site selection activities balancing link needs, latency, resilience, cost, and regulatory constraints
- Coordinate permitting, licensing, spectrum, civil works, and EHS activities
- Negotiate and manage teleport, vendor, and GSaaS contracts and SLAs
- Own deployment plans including budget, schedule, logistics, procurement, and antenna installation coordination
- Establish standardized operating procedures, acceptance criteria, and operational handover packages
- Establish a vendor performance framework and deployment risk register
- Partner with engineering teams to define site telemetry, alarms, and interface requirements
- Support transition of new ground station capabilities into Mission Operations
Requirements
- 10+ years delivering complex telecom, satellite ground segment, teleport, SATCOM, or network infrastructure programs
- Experience managing multi-site deployment programs involving vendors, engineering, and operations teams
- Strong vendor, contract, SLA, and partner management experience
- Working knowledge of satellite ground systems, teleports, RF systems, networking, and site infrastructure
- Familiarity with licensing, permitting, spectrum coordination, and regulatory environments
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, procurement, and logistics
- Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee)
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP or similar project/program management certification
- Hands-on teleport, ground station, antenna, or SATCOM infrastructure deployment experience
- Experience with GSaaS providers, teleport operators, or satellite operators
- Experience establishing site acceptance criteria and operational handover processes
- Familiarity with ITSM, change management, and incident management
