Global Forwarding Agent-Ocean

Responsibilities

• Manage the shipment lifecycle of global ocean freight as the primary contact for customers.
• Coordinate tasks to meet customer SOP requirements, including booking approvals, pre-alerts, governmental filings, and delivery execution.
• Ensure proper invoicing and provide reporting and documentation support to internal and external customers.
• Collaborate with international team members and third-party agents to ensure efficient service and creative problem resolution.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through timely responses and proactive issue resolution.
• Apply industry knowledge and critical thinking to adapt processes and solve transportation or documentation challenges.

Requirements

• High school degree or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of Global Forwarding experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills.
• Proven track record of strong, client-focused customer service.
• High level of attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong critical-thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
