Global Forwarding Agent-Ocean

Responsibilities

• Manage the shipment lifecycle of global ocean freight as the primary customer contact
• Coordinate tasks to meet customer SOP requirements, including booking approvals, pre-alerts, and governmental filings
• Apply industry knowledge to create solutions for transportation and documentation challenges
• Collaborate with international team members and third-party agents to ensure service efficiency
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through timely communication and issue resolution
• Provide reporting and documentation support to both internal and external stakeholders

Requirements

• High school degree or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of Global Forwarding experience specifically in Ocean freight

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills
• Proven track record of client-focused customer service
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• High level of attention to detail and critical-thinking skills
