Global Financial Crimes Compliance – International Consumer Banking – Vice President

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day GFCC services to the business, supporting the design and maintenance of effective measures to prevent financial crime.
• Assist in creating and maintaining policies and procedures for the International Consumer Business to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Review customer escalations involving AML events, negative news, sanctions, and higher-risk clients.
• Evaluate new business initiatives to assess regulatory impact and ensure compliance with internal requirements.
• Collaborate with various teams to gather information and review responses for regulatory examinations, internal audits, and investigations.
• Assess 1LoD financial crime management information and escalate AML/KYC or control issues.
• Support submissions to local, regional, or global committees and assist in providing relevant training to staff.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of UK regulatory financial crime requirements.
• Experience in digital banking or retail banking.
• Degree level education (or equivalent) or direct relevant work experience.
• Proven experience in assessing risk and making sound decisions regarding ML/TF.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex topics concisely.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of EU regulatory financial crime requirements.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong presentation skills and a self-starter mindset.
