About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of global environmental, health, and safety programs, focusing on environmental control and occupational health culture.
- Ensure institutional EHS governance, risk assessments, emergency preparedness, and regular internal audits are conducted in accordance with local laws and global standards.
- Update and maintain institutional EH&S policies, procedures, and standards to align with international best practices and donor requirements.
- Provide oversight for workplace health monitoring, hazard identification, and preventive programs across HQ, ES, and country offices.
- Monitor regional EH&S implementation plans and lead the annual EH&S planning cycle.
- Supervise the delivery of medical services, including monitoring health risks such as epidemics and managing wellness data.
- Ensure EHS management systems support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives and coordinate responses to compliance findings.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Chemical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in EH&S management.
- Occupational Health and Safety certification or diploma.
- Proven experience working across multiple countries and diverse cultural environments.
- Experience in operational risk management and emergency response.
- Strong analytical, information management, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Advanced English proficiency.
