Global Data Privacy Programme Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of global privacy strategies and coordinate regional programme delivery to ensure compliance with international regulations.
• Oversee the deployment and standardization of data protection policies and procedures across all MUFG entities.
• Develop and maintain frameworks for personal data management, including breach reporting protocols, vendor risk assessments, and data transfer processes.
• Advise senior leadership on emerging privacy risks and regulatory trends while delivering comprehensive global privacy training.
• Monitor for potential breaches and consult on responses to regulatory inquiries to protect the firm's reputation.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews for privacy controls and respond proactively to audit requests and internal testing.
• Analyze privacy programme metrics and prepare detailed reports for senior compliance leadership.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of global privacy laws and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional privacy programmes, including risk assessment and regulatory interpretation.
• Background in compliance or legal roles, ideally within financial services or other highly regulated sectors.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or similar certification is essential.
• Strong analytical skills and a practical understanding of privacy-enhancing technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage heavy workloads under pressure.
