About the role
Responsibilities
- Participate in planning and executing audits across multiple credit risk disciplines, including retail and wholesale portfolios
- Work alongside experienced auditors to perform walkthroughs, control testing, and portfolio reviews
- Analyze credit exposure, migration trends, and risk metrics to identify emerging issues
- Contribute to the evaluation of credit risk rating, monitoring, and provisioning processes
- Prepare clear, well-documented workpapers to support audit conclusions and recommendations
- Research industry, regulatory, and market developments impacting credit risk management
- Attend audit team and stakeholder meetings to observe how findings are communicated to senior leaders
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent professional written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet time-sensitive deadlines under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of financial statement analysis
- Understanding of credit risk concepts and processes
- Previous experience working within a financial institution
